The History of the Farm
Rosie first purchased the farm land and added her home in 1970. Later that same year, she built seven covered stalls to shelter her first seven horses.
As the next few years past, Rosie added the paddock, a jumping rink, more equestrian friends and more lesson students. As her student count grew, she added more pens, and a few more schooling horses.
With the help of her son, Jimmy, and some helping hands from the boarding community, Rosie added an English tack room and a Western Tack room with bathroom facilities, and a feed room. The arena and hitching post areas were upgraded with lighting for evening lessons and riding. A new Gator was added to help make feed distribution and hauling items around the farm more convenient.
Now that the Barn community has grown even larger, the sprinkler and watering systems were recently overhauled and upgraded. This has helped in reducing the dust in the arena during riding, and shortening watering times significantly. The hay barn also had to be expanded, as the need for more hay has grown.
The farm continues to welcome new riders and horses to the facility, and we look forward to making new friends and saddling up with our old friends as the fall and winter riding season approaches in 2008.
